The item is great, but it's the OUTSTANDING customer service I am writing about.About a year ago we bought a PoolGuard Cordless Pool Vacuum. It worked VERY well for about 11 months. The suction was more than adequate to pick-up small debris from our pool and spa. So easy to charge, operate and clean. It's easy to unassemble after use and store. In a word - it was perfect!Then the battery started to drain itself and soon the unit was inoperable. I was unable to recharge it.The purchase was still under the one year warranty. I emailed PoolGuard and was advised that my vacuum was no longer in production. They had upgraded their vacuum battery and improved the design as well.I was advised to buy the new one on Amazon and they would refund my money after it arrived.At first I was skeptical, but I had nothing to lose as I needed a new vacuum regardless.To my delight, the PoolGuard customer service was very communicative and prompt with responses. The unprompted follow-up while my order was being processed (due to long Amazon shipping time to Hawaii - out of PoolGuards control). Follow-up is almost unheard of these days with online customer service; it was unexpected and greatly appreciated.We received the vacuum and my purchase price was refunded within an hour - amazing!This company's customer service is an example of "how it should be". I've been in the customer service business for 31 years working for major airlines and recognize exemplary service when it is happening.PoolGuard has earned my future business and created a loyal customer.
