If they were more affordable, I would have bought a complete set of six. As it is, I waited until they were back on sale at $9 each and bought a set of two. These very functional insulating cups present an elegantly sleek modern appearance that adds to the enjoyment of a well crafted shot of espresso. Best of all, a preheated cup will keep a shot of espresso nice and hot for over 10 minutes!Their elegantly sleek modern style, dimensions, and very good insulation make them the only game in town for use as triple-shot (3oz) espresso glasses in a Gaggia Classic espresso machine that has a standard double-spout portafilter. All other brands of 4oz doubled-walled cups are taller than the standard Gaggia 2.75 inch portafilter clearance even though those taller cups are bulkier, squatty, and more bulbous in shape.Details:The website's stated cup dimensions are accurate. They hold 5oz when filled to the brim. They have a 4oz capacity when filled to the top of the handle's upper rung. Their brim is not thick and bulky in width, like other typical double-walled cups, and so they are a pleasure for sipping fine espresso. Their handle is large enough to comfortably pass two fingers through but still appears very proportional and stylish.I have tested them in the microwave to boil water. They can be safely shocked with boiling water from the espresso machine for preheating before pulling an espresso shot. Their glass is very slightly thicker than some of the other brands and so they don't feel as fragile. However I would still be concerned about sudden extreme temperature changes such as pouring boiling water into them after they had been frozen. So far no problems with trapped water between the walls, but I usually hand wash them because I use them so often each day and seldom end up cleaning them in the dishwasher.Cons:Because they are handmade, they should be very carefully inspected to make sure the handles are on straight, the dimple on the bottom of the cup does not interfere, and there are no flaws in the double-walled glass. One of my original two glasses had very tiny air bubbles internally trapped in a small portion of the brim glass. Exchanging for a new set of cups was very easy via Amazon Prime. But one the cups in the replacement set had a slightly misaligned handle. I kept the two perfect cups and returned the two slightly imperfect cups back to Amazon.

I have been ordering (from other companies) the glass double wall glasses since their inception. Because they are used daily and handwashed, the life tends to be 3-5 years -- and it is well worth it so trivets are never needed in warm climates. These are well made. My only gripe is the handle which is not wide enough and does not need to stick out as far. Love the amount of liquid that they hold tho'. My spouse is the main user and is very satisfied.

I received two double walled glass mugs as a gift one Christmas years ago and haven’t used anything else since. I wanted more so I found these on Amazon. I drink tea and coffee from these and they are the perfect size. Extremely well made. The type of handle on a mug is important to me and these are perfect overall. I put a previous mug in the dishwasher & it evidently had a small hole as it filled with water. So I do not put these in the dishwasher or microwave. I’ve now got 6 double walled glass mugs.

DO NOT BUY. THESE ARE NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY.The cups come already scratched. One had dust build up inside the glass. It's a waste of time. Not dishwasher safe either. DO NOT BUY.

These cups are great...comfortable to hold, elegantly simple appearance, perfect size for a double espresso...only one significant flaw. One of the cups has permitted a small amount of water to infiltrate the insulation space and while the cup is functional, it has water on the inside that makes it appear to be wet or unclean all of the time. No idea of how it got there as there are no visible cracks or defects, only the finishing “dimple” on the bottom and it appears to be properly sealed.

They would make an excellent gift or surprise for a spouse or anyone with a home expresso machine. The handle is just a little awkward for my thick working man fingers. I'm more of a heavy mug of dark roast kind of guy but hay, try something new right? I do find these just cool too look at.

One had a hole in the top so the 'cavity' between the walls just filled with water. One broke when dropped. They are very delicate. However when taking an espresso on the patio they are very stylish...
