Fixed the cam plug leak, now found out I need to replace the valve cover gasket. I recommend using RTV or Honda Bond to prevent any leaks.

Please don't make the same mistake I did and buy this Chinese garbage. I installed this (quick and easy) and within 50 miles I was leaking oil all over the engine block/driveway. If you install this and don't pay attention all the oil will leak out of your motor and it will have catastrophic failure. It's not if, but when, because this seal WILL leak and will leave you stranded! The worst part is, it's more expensive than a Beck Arnley brand one, and Beck Arnley is the top brand in the gasket/seal business! Ask your mechanic!! Please don't buy this!!!

Took seconds to remove old one and replace new. Stopped my oil leak. Would have cost a ton more at dealer. Very much worth the price.

Got in there and realized it wasn’t this leaking it was the solenoid valve for the VTEC. 01 civic ex. Well maybe one day it will leak and I’ll have it. It looks to be of good quality.

I thought I could save a few bucks and go this route. But I was very wrong. I normally don’t write reviews but this product didn’t last a day. I installed it all correctly and it was instantly loose. I didn’t catch it and had tons of oil on the ground the next day. Had to take it all apart and do it the correct way. Just go to Honda and get the correct oem part. It’s 20 bucks and you won’t look back.

I was sure I would be needing to install a new valve cover gasket to stop the oil leak on my ‘02 Honda Civic 1.7L. Turns out, after doing a little research, this little plug has a reputation for going bad. Fortunately, it’s the easiest fix you can imagine. Old one pops right off with a flathead screwdriver and the new one pops right in. It took more time to open the packaging than to install. Just like that, no more oil leak. I’ve only put about fifty miles on it, but prior to this, it would start slow dripping after only a minute or two while idling. I’ll update if it fails any time soon.***UPDATE***I’ve had this installed for roughly one month and approximately 1200 flat, easy miles. This part has already failed. It was installed following an oil flush and brand new full synthetic oil change. All surfaces were cleaned and prepared appropriately before installation and the motor did not overheat at any point. I do not drive this car fast or hard and there is no reason it should fail this quickly. This is simply a shoddy manufacture. Because the old plug has been discarded, I cannot remove and return this one. It’s an inexpensive part, so no huge loss, but it’s extremely frustrating when something as simple as an O-ring can’t be made to last more than a few weeks, considering the original part lasted 200,000 miles.
