How to Determine the Right Replacement Cartridge for Your Pool or Spa?

Unsure of the part number? Selecting the appropriate cartridge can be achieved by assessing your current one. Follow these steps:
1. Gauge the cartridge's external diameter, ensuring accuracy to within +/- 1/16 inch.
2. Measure the cartridge's length from one end cap to the other, excluding any protruding handles or extensions, to within +/- 1/16 inch.
3. Determine the top and bottom type. If they're open, measure the inner diameter of the opening to within +/- 1/16 inch. For closed end caps, jot down distinct features (e.g., "Handle", "Cone").
4. Note down the filter's manufacturer and model number where the new cartridge will be placed.
5. Check if there's a central core (like a PVC pipe) present.

I bought the POOLPURE Type VI SPA and Hot Tub Filter set to replace the old ones in my Coleman SaluSpa, and they worked perfectly. The fit was seamless, making installation and maintenance easy. I purchased a Saluspa Coronado from Costco--my first. I've read a lot of bad reviews about the aftermarket filters available, and it's true that none has the surface area (or the same density of pleats) of the filter that came with the spa. However, even the filters that the spa company sells aren't the same as those included with the spa.From the reviews and product photos of various filters on Amazon, Poolpure appeared to have the most surface area and to be the most consistently made and pleated of those available on Amazon. They are exactly as they appear in the photos. Still not the surface area of the original, but clearly better than a lot of what's available. That said, I think these filters are easier to rinse than the factory original filter.The plastic interior cylinder of the filter doesn't appear to have as much open space for water flow as the original, but that's difficult to be sure of without taking it apart and doing a lot of measurements! So I did the low tech version by holding my hand in front of the water outlet in the spa without the filter and kept my hand there while I screwed on the housing. I cannot tell any difference in the water flow with or without the filter. The pump unit has never complained.I installed the first filter from this package immediately in case I had to return them. I use the spa every day with a clean but hairy body, and after three weeks I'm still using that same filter. I rinse it every other day in the sink with the sink sprayer, and the filter is still white. We have pretty hard water, and oils and chemicals I guess do accumulate on the filter, but it all rinses off. I use Leisure Time Renew for maintaining the spa water chemistry.I'm content that I've found the right filter brand for now. I'm so glad these are so easy to clean and appear to be lasting.** UPDATE **It's been two months with the same filter, and it still rinses clean. Glad I only bought four, because these are going to last a long time at this rate.

Perfect for replacement filters for saluspa, value for the money. Same size as the factory one. And I can rinse them out in the sink for re use I've been doing that and my hot tub stays crystal clear.

Using in a Saluspa Coronado from Costco and it seems to do what it’s supposed to. I occasionally take the filter out and rinse it and will change it when it looks to need it.

Ho una Bestway Lay-Z Spa Milan, questi filtri funzionano perfettamente.Addirittura ho notato che la loro durata è di almeno il doppio rispetto ai filtri originali (sono riuscito a fare 4 settimane con ogni singolo filtro sciacquandolo ogni giorno con acqua).Ho aspettato la fine della stagione per scrivere la recensione: sicuramente li prenderò anche per l’anno prossimo!

Tried different filters before and these fit in the filter housing perfectly and keep the hot tub clean without immediately clogging.Replacing them weekly and the hot tub is doing great.With previous filters they hot tub would get murky fairly quickly and others would clog up resulting in a fault code on the hot tub heater. No such issues with these (only 3-4 weeks in, but so far so good anyway).

Yes, the filters do not have as much filtration surface as the ones who came with the pool. BUT even the original filters from bestway you can buy in the shop have less 'slats' then those who came with the spa. Not sure why... I'm guessing BestWay wants you to have a great impression with the first use?Anyway, I find these filters well made and packaged. Time will tell if the paper filter works well. But et this price, it's better to replace it then to use them for too long.
