I got these brackets to mount 3 inch PVC pipe for a radon mitigation system, and the brackets worked great. I used a single 1/4 inch lag bolt to hold each bracket. As others have pointed out, the arms of the bracket block access to the center mounting hole making installation a bit tedious. What I did was place the bracket where I wanted it and inserted a drill bit (hand held) in the center mounting hole and used the tip of the bit to scratch a mark on the wall. I could then move the bracket aside and drill a hole at the mark. Using hex head lag bolts for mounting, I used a ratchet wrench with a 7/16 socket to tighten the lag bolt. Mounting the brackets that way was easy. I'm including a couple of photos showing a scrap of PVC pipe secured in a clamp. The package has an advisory note suggesting to place the brackets directly below a coupling or fitting in the pipe on vertical runs to keep the pipe from slipping down and that's what I did. The brackets are well made and look good (as good as a bracket can look at least). One side of the bracket has two little plastic nibs (see photo) that I assume are to help pry the bracket open to release the pipe if necessary. You'll want those nibs on the side opposite the coupling or fitting so that bracket sits flush. These served my purpose perfectly.

Wanted these as I redid my duct system. They did the job but just hard to work with as you try to screw them to the wall and put in the pipe. the clamps always want to close and you fight with them for both during those tasks. once you get them in...they clamp shut tightly.

I bought a set of these in hopes that it would allow me to quickly and easily mount PVC pipe to my ceiling joists and walls for connection to my new dust collector (a high pressure system). They worked incredibly well, and once you get the hang of bending the arms around your impact driver, hanging them was incredibly easy. I snapped a chalk in to keep everything lined up, pre-drilled to make driving the pan head screw easier, and away I went. I was able to pipe my entire workshop in a single afternoon. Well, once I bought all of the correct fittings that is.Also, of the 10, not a single one broke, and I really torqued some of the plastic. I can't imagine what people were doing to make these things break.

Was definitely the right size for my job application. I like how it adjusts, but unfortunately if you open it a little too much, it will break the plastic.

I use these to mount a 4in dryer ducting, I put an insulating foam barrier between the clamp and the duct. Works great and is very sturdy and easy to handle.

Purchased to secure 4" PVC for a radon system. As other have noted actually mounting thing is a little tricky with trying to hold it open and a screw and the drill, but it not doing a ton of them its not a huge deal. Also like mentioned, they need a little tweak when installing on a vertical run. I added 2 screws into the side of the pvc just above the clamps which was ok for my application. I got them so they wont rust, so hopefully they stand up to the weather for years to come. They are easily unclipped for adjusting and they stand off enough to clear the raised section of siding without a problem. They would benefit from having something to make the strap tighter or something on the inside to help keep the pipe from sliding. Overall for the price point a qty they are a decent option for securing pvc.
