My grandkids love to "Play" Tennis at the park just down the street. This usually involves me picking up all the balls. Surprisingly, they are willing to use this to collect the balls. If my 5, 6, and 8-year-old grandkids haven't destroyed it, then it must be well built. This is a "value" product, not fancy, and maybe not what you would look cool using at a club. I would buy it again.

You need one of these, or something like it, even if you play semi regularly. It came in the mail very quickly and was really easy to put together. The construction is decently solid--I've had no issues with it yet. I do keep in in my trunk and sometimes the lid can get loose and some balls come out (but that's after many, many days and I'm not the most gentle driver). I don't think it'll be an issue for most people.Sure it can be a little tough to set it up--it requires a bit of arm strength to get it to stand up on the handles, but it's a reasonable amount of effort.Overall, I think it's a great product. It makes picking up your balls at the end really easy--almost fun.As an aside, I am in no way affiliated with this product or company. Just leaving an honest review in hopes that it's helpful. If you did find it helpful I'd appreciate it if you'd click that it was! Thanks.

Very please with this purchase. The hopper arrived in a flat package and putting it together was very simple (I assembled it before looking at the instructions). The only difficulty was that one of the threads with the acorn nut already on it was cross threaded and, as the thread were already ruined, required a lot of force to install. Once assembled the hopper was quite sturdy and the top locked on securely. I read some of the reviews saying that it took a bit of force to lock the legs but if you set it upside down and then secure the legs it wasn't hard. There are more expensive hoppers out there but I've looked at a number of them and they all have more downsides than this hopper (weight, ease of picking up the ball, securing the balls for transport, etc.). Note: Washers were provided to go with the nuts but were not listed in the assembly instructions. Given how the frame is constructed I highly recommend using them.

I'm stunned that Wilson would make such a terrible product. It's easy to put together so that is not an issue. However, that is pretty much the only positive quality for this hopper. The handles / legs have no mechanism keeping them from falling off, so when it's even slightly unbalanced they fall off. They are not at all easy to lock and you have to lock one at a time while hoping the other side doesn't fly off. When it is locked, they fly off easily when you unlock them. Furthermore, the lid is a complete piece of crap because it is not even designed to attach securely, it just comes right off with no solid hinging. What is incredibly stupid is that it's not the materials that are flawed they are fine, it's incredibly poor design. The thing is like a deck of cards and constantly falls apart at even the slightest amount of tension.... Taking it out of your trunk? expect the handles to fly off? Switching it from picking up to standing. up? Guaranteed something will go horribly wrong. Rolling it from one place to another? expect it to fly apart. Don't expect the lid to work. Anyway, I got a Tourna Ballport instead which is literally infinitely better and cheaper and totally study. can't imagine why this product is still on sale. I don't understand why Wilson does not take 2 days to have a designer fix the design so it actually works and does not simply fall apart at the slightest amount of stress. The remains of this piece of junk are going in the garbage.

When I saw that this unit was $10 less on Amazon than it was on sale at a big box store, I purchased for myself and my son who plays varsity tennis for his high school. As with any ball pickup/hopper, it is very convenient to have all the balls in one place and cartable from place to place. The basket itself is fairly light weight and sturdy - It even holds our drinks and other gear without a problem. As others have commented, it takes a little practice to set up, and when standing, the stability doesn't feel the greatest (although a very strong wind that blew through last night didn't topple it). From casual, recreational players to intermediate players who practice every day, this is an inexpensive and suitable alternative to a bunch of cans or balls stuffed in your tennis bag. Recommended!

I had to order this item twice. For some reason I received a notification that this item was lost in the mail, and the second time, the item got lost again, but eventually it finally got delivered.I really loved it at first, but the metal used on this hopper is so thin and flimsy. The handles like to pop out of the holders, and you to switch it standing mode, you have to lock it into two hooks that gets a little irritating to release from.I use this hopper on a daily basis. First the top hatch is a bit irritating. I eventually left it off, except when transporting the hopper in my car to prevent the balls from falling out the opening. However, somehow the metal frame of my hopper warped and the hatch refused to lock.In the end, the welding and thin metal frame was this hopper's Achilles' heel. One of the tubes that the handles latch into fell off. I MacGyvered it back on and repeated what I did as a preventative measure for the other side, and dare to say, actually improved the hopper's stability. After, enjoying that fix for a month, the welding that holds the bottom fell apart. I could have spent more time on it, but decided to retire the hopper and picked up the Tourna Ballport Deluxe, which was a little more expensive but definitely worth the price. Not to completely trash on this hopper, it does it's job, and I may have just been unlucky, but mine lasted for a year before falling apart. For $30 that's not bad.

You get what you are expecting! Nice product, useful, lightweight and very mobile as well. An essential for any tennis player looking to do some drills, serve practice, or any other lesson on your own. Even more so if you are giving lessons.

I think this basket is such a great value for money. Once the legs are secured, it is sturdy, and really does the job. It can hold good number of balls, and it’s easily transportable.

Not happy with the product, one of the clips fell straight off and another part of the cage was broken.
