My kids have started using tape for several school projects and their own gift wrapping. So when they all wanted tape, I wasn’t getting hem scotch. I bought a bundle of rolls and these. They come flat, which was a little frustrating putting them together, hence the 4 star, but they hold a standard roll of tape. They feel flimsy to me, but my kids have been using them weekly for several months, and I find that they’ve withstood their chaos, so the 4 star is with the stipulation that they feel flimsy. I think they would do okay in a classroom too.

I ordered this product because I got tired of running downstairs for a piece of tape. Now I have one on each floor! They work - and I don't believe how handy they are. I keep them in drawers (I am a minimalist)- so they are out of sight.

I like the concept of these inexpensive dispensers which fold together. They assemble easily and the tape rolls fit in well. My tape rolls have perhaps sturdier tape and the dispenser has great difficulty cutting it. I don't have thinner tape to try at this time, but I'd love for this to work.

Despite having several desk-type tape dispensers, one of the fundamental truths of life is that if others have access, someone will relocate your dispenser, and you'll have to hunt for it almost every time you need tape. I saw these dispensers and thought it would be worth a try to put some inexpensive options around in places people sometimes need tape.It was a little shocking to see them arrive lying flat and ready for assembly, but I was certainly willing to keep an open mind. It was easy enough and it felt sturdy enough when I closed the dispenser without tape; I was almost excited to open it back up and place a new roll of Scotch Tape into it. I was a little surprised when the roll extended beyond the bottom of the dispenser, but that was just a little odd.When I tried to use the tape, the plastic cutter worked just fine. However, most dispensers "hold" the end of the tape when you dispense it. This makes it easy to continue when you need the next piece of tape. For these dispensers, the tape falls back to the roll - if you aren't careful, you'll spend a lot of time (and destroyed tape) dispensing the tape each time.I tried a second dispenser and found the same issue. These are worthless to me.

This product surprised me, it is cheaply made, but it is a unique design. I would recommend it, especially if you feel like your kids are always breaking your tape! It’s a little less sharp along the edges to cut the tape, but as long as you grip it, it works perfectly fine. All of my kids have been able to sufficiently use these and I like them because I can buy tape in bulk And have these all around the house for crafts and schoolwork. I gave it four stars because of the design and easy nature of using this, I don’t expect it to last a lifetime.

I'm not sure these were even worth the little bit they cost.These tape dispensers come as flat, punched out plastic pieces that you fold around a roll of tape in order to construct. They snap together. They do open up again easily when you need to change the roll, but given the flimsiness of the plastic, I doubt they'll last for very many roll changes without a bit snapping off.The cutter works all right, but the end of the tape doesn't stick to the feeder without you having to pull the end of the tape up and press it against the flat part just before the teeth. It's very kludgy and only a small step up from having no dispenser at all.I'm giving it three stars, because it does work pretty much as advertised. I wasn't expecting a whole lot when I ordered these, and I got about what I expected.
